CUBRID announced that it has registered its open source DBMS, CUBRID, on the Microsoft Azure marketplace. With this registration, domestic companies and organizations, as well as international users, can now easily utilize CUBRID in the Azure environment.
CUBRID has been expanding the accessibility of its cloud-based open source DBMS through collaborations with major cloud service providers (CSPs) in Korea, including NAVER Cloud, KT Cloud, NHN Cloud, Samsung Cloud Platform(SCP), Kakao Cloud, and Gabia.
Microsoft Azure registration is part of the company's strategy to expand its global cloud platform, and follows its registration on AWS Marketplace last year.
Microsoft Azure has been certified by the Cloud Service Security Accreditation Program (CSAP) to provide cloud services to public institutions in Korea, and CUBRID's Azure registration will serve as a positive sign for its future utilization in the public and private sectors.
