CUBRID is pleased to announce the availability of CUBRID 10.1, the latest stable release.

Following the launch of CUBRID 9 in March 2013, CUBRID has focused on preparing the CUBRID 10.1 for four years. The CUBRID 10.1 focuses on performance and scalability improvement on a single node by rewriting the entire storage module.

In terms of performance, CUBRID 10.1 has almost doubled the optimal workload of TPC-C benchmark compared to the previous version of CUBRID 9.3, and the maximum tpmC increased by 80%. In addition, the performance on the benchmark systems - Sysbench, YCSB (Yahoo! Cloud Serving Benchmark), and TPC-W - are significantly improved.

1) Sysbench: 30% improved
2) YCSB (Yahoo! Cloud Serving Benchmark): 50% to 65% improved
3) TPC-W: WIPS 600% improved, WIPSo 400% improved

In terms of features, adding CTE (Common Table Expression) allows application developers to easily and clearly create complex queries, which include Recursive Queries.

Timezone data types and related features are added and supported for global users. Moreover, the stability of High Availability (HA) feature has been enhanced in high workload cases and replication delays have been significantly reduced.

Along with the recent boom of the cloud market, the interest in open source DBMS is rising. Currently, more than 300,000 CUBRID products have been downloaded globally.
