CUBRID announced its RDBMS (relational database management system) CUBRID has obtained the service compatibility verification level 2 on 'PaaS-TA', an open cloud computing platform.  

 

'PaaS-TA' is a South Korean open cloud computing platform developed jointly by the National Information Society Agency (NIA), the leading organization, and major domestic software companies, with R&D support from the Ministry of Science and ICT. 'PaaS-TA' has been widely applied in various public and private sectors such as the Smart Farm Big Data Integration Platform of the Korea Agency of Education, Promotion and Information Service in Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery, Public Mask App/Web Service, Korean Smart Manufacturing Innovation Center AI Manufacturing Platform, Naver Cloud Platform, KT, NHN, etc. The 'PaaS-TA' 5.5 version ‘semini’ which is released at the beginning of this year with flexible deployment and enhanced stability and security.

 

The Korean National Information Society Agency (NIA) provides compatibility verification services to verify various software and services operate in a 'PaaS-TA' environment which consists of infrastructure control and management environment, execution environment, development environment, service environment, and operation environment. By developing service broker and build pack, CUBRID has completed Level 2 compatibility verification, following obtaining Level 1 compatibility.

 

CUBRID DB's verification software used a homepage from the South Korean e-government framework template projects. The verification process was conducted by installing the service broker and CUBRID engine on the virtual machine, installing the e-government frameworks in the ‘PaaS-TA’ environmental container, and accessing the website to verify the functional compatibility.

 

CUBRID aims to expand the cloud ecosystem by supporting perfect compatibility with ‘PaaS-TA’. With the expansion of the public cloud market, it is expected that a synergy effect will occur to secure various references in the future.
