CUBRID Corp respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, retain, and safeguard personal information, in compliance with applicable laws including the Personal Information Protection Act and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc.
If any changes are made to this policy, we will notify users through our website or via individual notice. The revised policy will take effect from the date specified in the announcement.
This policy is effective as of April 22, 2025.
1. Personal Data Collected and Collection Methods

Login ID, password, email address, nickname, organization, subscription preferences (newsletters, messages), resume and job application details, IP address, browser information, and automatically collected data such as cookies

A. Membership Information
Stored until the user withdraws their membership; deleted immediately upon withdrawal

Retained per internal policies for talent pool purposes and deleted when no longer needed

4. Destruction of Personal Data
A. Personal data is promptly destroyed once the purpose of collection and use is fulfilled.

Data is transferred to a separate database and stored for a legally required period, then securely destroyed. Transferred data is not used for any other purpose.
C. Destruction Method
Electronic files are permanently deleted using non-recoverable methods, and paper documents are shredded or incinerated.
5. Provision and Delegation of Personal Data Processing
A. CUBRID does not provide personal data to third parties without prior consent unless required by law or requested by law enforcement authorities.
B. We use MailerLite for newsletter distribution, which may result in email addresses being stored outside Korea (in Lithuania). These emails are used solely for marketing purposes, and users may unsubscribe at any time.
C. No other data processing is currently outsourced. If future delegation occurs, prior notice and consent will be obtained.
6. User Rights and How to Exercise Them
A. Users may request access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing of their personal data at any time.
B. Requests can be submitted via email or written notice to the Data Protection Officer, and we will respond without delay.
C. For children under the age of 14, consent from a legal guardian is required. Legal guardians may also exercise the above rights.
7. Use of Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies
A. Cookies may be used to provide users with customized services.
B. Cookies are small data files stored on your device that help us analyze user behavior and improve service quality.
C. Users can refuse cookie storage via browser settings (e.g., Internet Explorer: Tools > Internet Options > Privacy).
D. Disabling cookies may restrict access to certain services such as login functionality.

A. Personal data is encrypted and stored securely; access is restricted to authorized personnel only.
B. Security systems including firewalls and anti-malware tools are in place to prevent hacking and other threats.
