1. Use ERD editor

CUBRID Query Brower have supported ERD feature from CUBRID Query Brower2014.01. You can edit/view schema information expediently by it. 

1.1. Open ERD editor

Select the database node in the navigation tree, click "ERD Editor" on the context menu or click Pro tools–>ERD Editor on the toolbar to open ERD editor.

1.2. Create new table

Click New Table button on the palette of ERD editor to create a new table. Then you can edit the table by the context menu.

1.3. Drag existed tables to ERD editor

Select the tables in the navigation tree, then drag the tables to ERD editor. 

NOTE: Only user tables which are belong to same database can drag into the ERD editor.

1.4. Edit table

Double click table or right click the table then select "Edit table" on the context menu to edit the table.

1.5. Add/Delete column

Click “Add column” on the context menu to add a new column and click “Delete column” to delete the column.

1.6. Add foreign key

 1. Select “Connection” tool on the palette.

2. Select the table then click the primary table. An "Add Foreign key" dialog will pop up. Then set the foreign relation ship.

NOTE: The primary table must contain primary key and corresponding columns in the foreign key and the referenced key must have similar data types.

1.7. Delete foreign key

You can select a foreign key and Press “Del” button on the keyboard to delete the foreign key.

1.8. Import schema data from file

You can import schema data from *.erd or *.xml data file.

  • *.erd file is defined by CUBRID TOOLS. It contains the schema information and the location information of table figures on the ERD canvas.
  • *.xml file on the ERD is a format file defined by ERwin.  

1. Click  Open file  button in the ERD editor toolbar to open schema data file.

NOTE: The existed tables on the ERD Editor will be cleaned after you import the schema data file. 

2. Click “OK” to confirm to clean the exist data.

3. Click “Browse” to select the schema data file.

4. Click “OK” to open the file.

1.9. Export data to file

Click  Save button  button to save the schema data to file. CUBRID TOOLS support .erd, .xml and image types.

1.10. Compare schema data

Click Compare button  button to get the differents from ERD editor to current database. 

1.11. Other tools

  1. Zoom in/Zoom out:Zoom in/Zoom out all the figures.
  2. Ctrl+A: Select all the tables.
  3. Ctrl+S: Save the schema data to the file.
  4. Ctrl+Mouse click: Select multi objects.
  5. Auto layout : Arrange all the figures antomatically.
  6. Find: We support find the schema by name.
