2010 CUBRID Bug Hunter Event Winners! - June 14, 2010
Last Friday on June 11, 2010, we announced the winners of our CUBRID Bug Hunting Eventheld in Korea. We invited all developers to take a part in the annually organized event and to work their professional will upon our new upcoming release CUBRID 2008 R3.0. At CUBRID we believe in team development and in our Open Source Community, so this year again we've invited Korean enthusiasts to exercise their knowledge and professional experience around CUBRID.
The first time this event was held in September 2009 during one week period. This time the event was organized for three days between June 1st and 3rd. The participants were proposed to find possible internal bugs in the new development version of CUBRID 2008 R3.0, which they could download from the event home page. CUBRID is attending Open Source Conference as a Principal Partner - May 26, 2010
On May 27, 2010, on behalf of CUBRID, a delegation consisting of four members, Mr. Catalin Ciobanu, Maximilian Machedon, George Adrian Oprea, and Ciprian Badescu, will be representing CUBRID Open Source Community and its CUBRID Database Management System at the Open Source / Free Software Conference held in BUCHAREST, ROMANIA.
The conference will take place in the Hotel Intercontinental. CUBRID team can be reached in the room Fortuna. There will be a 20 minutes presentation about CUBRID DBMS by Catalin Ciobanu followed by a 10 minute Q&A session. The presentation will start at 10AM.
Open Source / Free Software Conference is organized by Agora Media SA. Agora Technology Conferences, started in 2008, are a series of events that aim to present real solutions for public administration and/or financial institutions, telecom, utilities and large companies.

CUBRID Participates at the MySQL Conference - April 07, 2010
Seoul, Korea, April 07, 2010 - CUBRID, an open source DBMS optimized for web services has announced that the company will attend the MySQL Conference & Expo hosted by O’Reilly held in Santa Clara (USA) from April 12 to 15.
CUBRID not only ensures the high-performance, stability, scalability and availability required for mission-critical Internet applications, but is also a full-featured DBMS which supports Java-based stored procedures, high-availability and partitioning, which are essential for large Internet service areas.
Since its announcement of going open source in 2008, about 40,000 users have downloaded free CUBRID applications over a 16 month period and it has secured the user infrastructure in Korea. CUBRID can also guarantee its reliable operation since it has been applied to about 50 services provided via Naver (www.naver.com), the Korea’s largest Internet portal. Additionally, its reliability is attested by many Internet companies, as well as by various public organizations and foreign government institutions.
According to Jung Byung-joo, CEO of CUBRID, The MySQL Conf. & Expo is a place where developers from across the world interested in open source DBMSs gather together and I hope that this opportunity allows me to introduce CUBRID to them and check its growth potential as an open source software. He added, We will focus on networking with developers and users so we can be recharged as a global open source DMBS by globally expanding from Asia, where an open source software is not wide-provided yet."
In October, 2009, in efforts to be a global open source software, CURBRID launched the CUBRID Project (http://sourceforge.net/projects/cubrid/) on SourceForge.net and http://www.cubrid.org, a site for communication in English. In order to communicate with developers from all over the world through SNS, the company also recently made a Twitter account (http://twitter.com/cubrid) and a Facebook account (http://www.facebook.com/cubrid). Starting from the MySQL Conf. & Expo, CUBRID is going to continuously take part in open source-related events such as OSCON.
CUBRID attends O’Reilly MySQL Conference and Expo - March 12, 2010
Between April 12-15 2010, a CUBRID delegation will attend the O’Reilly MySQL Conference and Expo held in Santa Clara, CA.
The O'Reilly MySQL Conference & Expo is an interactive learning community, offering the opportunity to connect to MySQL developers and open source experts. It gives unique insights from speakers, vendors, project leaders, and other participants who are using MySQL to successfully run the world's most demanding applications, saving millions of dollars over proprietary software and hardware solutions.
Our aim is to make CUBRID known as an open source DBMS optimized for web services, assuring high performance, stability, scalability and HA which are required for mission-critical internet applications, providing, in addition, easy installation and proprietary GUI-based client tools to support developer accessibility and manageability.
