SEOUL, KOREA, July 13, 2010 – CUBRID, an open source project dedicated to accelerating the growth of open source database management systems, today announced that it is going to attend the O’Reilly OSCON Open Source Convention held in Portland, Oregon, between July 19~23, 2010.
Here is a quote from the conference web site: "There is big change in technology and society, and open source is making it happen. Cloud computing is transforming our toolkit, from NoSQL to systems management. Mobile services are growing exponentially, set alight by Android and iPhone. New languages and APIs are flourishing. Developers must adapt to a rapidly evolving platform, which open source is the key to managing and steering."
Though CUBRID is already a database solution highly optimized for Web Applications, there is a lot to learn at the open source industry. O'Reilly OSCON Open Source Convention is another opportunity for us to connect to the open source universe, to those who are "passionate about open source, from developers, engineers, designers, trainers, and programmers to sys admins, IT managers, hackers, and entrepreneurs". Through the collaboration at OSCON sessions we want to learn how to foster contribution and adoption of CUBRID open source database management system globally.
For those interested in CUBRID's global strategy and development, we will be glad to share the CUBRID's passion. Meet our team, and we will tell what's next in CUBRID, what are the items we want to include that will change the way we use store the data.
