CUBRID Migration Toolkit 9.3.0.201406 Release Note Summary

We are releasing CUBRID Migration Toolkit 9.3.0.201406 (build 4585) which is a new version of CUBRID Migration Tool. Some bugs are fixed and some features are added to this release.

 

1. DBMS / OS supports

- Compatible from CUBRID 8.2.2 to CUBRID 9.3.0 version (JDBC drivers of each version are included).

- Supported OS: Windows(32/64), Linux(32/64), Mac

- Supported DBMS: CUBRID, MySQL, Oracle, MSSQL

4. Important Improvements & New features

 

-  Export/Import script files to/from remote server by SSH

-  CMT support offline schema information to build migration scripts

-  Execute "UPDATE STATISTICS ON {table}" separately 

-  In mac OS, the workspace folder and log folder should be at the CMT's home directory

 

5. Known issues

- GLO type of CUBRID database is not supported since CMT 8.4.1

- NChar and NVarchar of CUBRID database are not supported well now.

- Some extreme values of Float, Double may not be migrated successfully.

- Sometimes, the CUBRID JDBC may throw "Can not communicate with broker" error.

- Too big BLOB/CLOB data may cause out of memory errors.

- Functions/Procedures/Triggers will not be migrated.

- XML type index of MSSQL is not supported by CMT and CUBRID.

- Hierarchyid type of MSSQL is not supported by CMT, and the columns with this type will be ignored.

-  CMT start to support multi-schema migration.

-  Auto check PK column of the source tables.

-  Set the default value of CSV escape char to empty.

-  Alert table or column name whether the database support case insensitive or case sensitive.

 

5. Known issues

- GLO type of CUBRID database is not supported since CMT 8.4.1

- NChar and NVarchar of CUBRID database are not supported well now.

- Some extreme values of Float, Double may not be migrated successfully.

- Sometimes, the CUBRID JDBC may throw "Can not communicate with broker" error.

We are releasing CUBRID Migration Toolkit 8.4.1.201205 (build 2029) that is a new version of CUBRID Migration Tool. Some bugs are fixed and some features are added to this release.

- To Offline CUBRID database migration is supported.

- Table partition information migration is supported.

- Source Database object names are case sensitive now.

- Source duplicated indexes' names will be checked and auto renamed.
