Changing Database Information of CM Users

Description

The cm_admin changedbinfo utility changes database information of specified CM users.

Syntax

cm_admin changedbinfo options cmuser-name database-name

options :

[{-u | --uid} userid]

[{-h | --host} broker-ip]

[{-p | --port} broker-port]

  • cm_admin : An integrated utility to manage CUBRID Manager
  • changedbinfo : The command used to change database information of a specified CM user.
  • options : The -u, -h, and –p options are supported. For details, see its description and example.
  • cmuser-name : The name of a CM user
  • databse-name : The name of a database to be changed.

--uid

Specifies the user ID of a database.

-h
--host

Specifies the host of a broker used when client can accesses a database.

-p
--port

Specifies the port number of a broker used when client accesses a database.

Changing database user ID (-u)

The following example shows how to update ID information in the database "testdb" of a CM user "testcm" to "uid".

cm_admin changedbinfo -u uid testcm testdb

Changing host IP of a broker (-h)

The following example shows how to update host IP information in the database "testdb" of a CM user "testcm" to "10.34.63.132".

cm_admin changedbinfo -h 10.34.63.132 testcm testdb

Changing broker port (-u)

The following example shows how to update broker port information in the database "testdb" of a CM user "testcm" to "33000".

cm_admin changedbinfo -p 33000 testcm testdb
