Changing the Authority of CM Users

Description

The cm_admin changeuserauth utility changes authority of CM users.

Syntax

cm_admin changeuserauth options cmuser-name

options :

[{-b | --broker} authority]

[{-c | --dbcreate} authority]

[{-m | --monitor} authority]

  • cm_admin : An integrated utility to manage CUBRID Manager
  • changeuserauth: The command used to change the authority information of a CM user
  • options : The -b, -c, and -m options are supported. For details, see its description and example.
  • cmuser-name : The name of a CM user whose authority to be changed.

Specifies the broker authority of a CM user.
- Value available : admin, none, monitor

-c
--dbcreate

Specifies the database creation authority of a CM user.
- Value available : none, admin

-m
--monitor

Specifies the monitoring authority of a CM user.
- Value available : admin, none, monitor

Changing broker authority (-b)

The following example shows how to change the broker authority of a CM user "testcm" to monitor.

cm_admin changeuserauth -b monitor testcm

Changing database creation authority (-c)

The following example shows how to change database creation authority of a CM user "testcm" to admin.

cm_admin changeuserauth -c admin testcm

Changing status monitoring authority (-m)

The following example shows how to change status monitoring authority of a CM user "testcm" to admin.

cm_admin changeuserauth -m admin testcm
